This week, the students of Grade 6A learned about the Scientific method, as they conducted an investigation to determine the best design for a paper airplane.
Students collaborated together to create a scientific question, prediction, and method for testing their prediction.
Students made 3 different designs of paper airplanes (using scrap paper) to create a fair test.
Students measured off 1m intervals in the hallway to record how far their planes traveled.
Time to test the design of the planes! Students did 3 trials for each plane, to gather enough data to make conclusions.
- They worked together to measure how far their plane traveled, recorded their measurements, and analyzed the data to come up with conclusions about the best design for a paper airplane.
